Xcedex Inc., a software firm that helps companies make their IT systems more efficient, has expanded its presence in the United States and Europe with new offices in Texas and England.
The firm’s software helps companies plan “virtualization” projects, which make IT infrastructure more manageable and environmentally friendly. Virtualization can, for instance, reduce the number of servers a business uses.
Xcedex opened its new offices to be closer to clients, including Thomson Reuters, said Chris Taylor, CEO and president. The firm targets Fortune 500 companies. Xcedex has seen an uptick in business from firms aiming to cut costs, Taylor said, and expects its revenue to range between $5 million and $6 million this year, up from about $3.7 million last year.
